That number doesn't take into consideration all the folks who use Netflix either through a shared account or are on a free trial account - which likely explains why that number isn't even higher - but that means there are more people paying for Netflix than there are people living in Tokyo, Delhi, Shanghai, Sao Paulo and Mumbai, combined.Netflix's latest report to shareholders, which is where that [...]

It would appear that LG didn't get the memo about notches being out this year, if these new leaked renders and 360-degree video from 91Mobiles and @OnLeaks are to be believed. The renders, said to be of the upcoming LG G8, show a handset that looks almost identical to last year's LG G7 ThinQ, though keen observers will notice some very subtle differences between the two phones. Firstly, it looks as though the LG G8 has slightly reduced the size of its chin bezel. Before you rush off to preorder, it's also worth noting that its aforementioned notch now seems [...]

Mastercard recently announced it would be putting an end to automatic debits from subscriptions that start up once a free trial has ended, but the company has now clarified that the new policy isn't quite as useful as we'd hoped. The updated blog post now clearly states that “the rule change is [only] applicable to physical products such as skincare, healthcare items etc.”, which doesn't have quite the same impact as enforcing the same policy on digital and software subscriptions. From now on, merchants (selling physical product subscriptions) are required “to gain cardholder approval at the conclusion of the trial before they [...]

The latter company won't be making off with everyone, the release noted: Fossil will still have 200 R&D employees on the books. The President has announced that the Defense Department will pursue a space-based missile defense system reminiscent of the one proposed by Reagan in 1983. As with Reagan's ultimately abortive effort, the technology doesn't actually exist yet and may not for years to come — but it certainly holds more promise now than 30 years ago. In a speech at the Pentagon reported by the Associated Press, Trump explained that a new missile defense system would “detect and destroy any missile launched against the United States anywhere, any time, any place.” “My upcoming budget will invest in a space-based missile defense layer. It's [...]
